As we sat in Abu Kalaf’s front room, drinking tea and conversing through our translator, word got around the village that Americans were present. Several kids came to the window and clamored to have their picture taken. I turned around quickly and snapped this photo. The window in Kalaf’s front room, like many of the windows in neighboring homes, was blown out, reportedly by the cruise missile blast that destroyed his orange grove.
