
Mike started 2006 off right by spraypainting “Troops Out Now” on three highway overpasses near Toledo, Ohio, on January 1. On what must have been a slow morning for crime, five (5!) patrol cars pulled him over, and officers arrested and cuffed him. For his acts of war resistance and highway beautification Mike was charged with five separate felony counts including “possession of criminal tools” (the can of paint) and booked into the county jail.
Things really heated up the summer of ‘06 — meteorlogically and legally.
Mike was arrested for wearing a “Veterans For Peace” T-shirt at the Jesse Brown Veteran’s Administration Medical Center, on Chicago’s south side on June 30.
