Jesuit Chaldean Church Interior

Jesuit Chaldean Church Interior

This church was constructed by U.S. Jesuit priests in the 1930’s, on the campus of the English-language Baghdad College High School. In the 1970’s the Jesuits were kicked out and the operation of the church turned over to Chaldeans who still hold services in it. The school was made part of the state-run system, continuing the practice of teaching classes in English.
