Throughout Baghdad, shops are clustered by what they sell. Furniture will be primarily in one district, appliances in another, etc. Here, computers and electronic goods are for sale, piled high on the sidewalk, as is typical. If you look closely on the right side of the photo, you can see three small, gas-powered, electricity generators. Every commercial establishment that wants a reliable source of power must use a generator. Hotels have huge, diesel generators. It all adds to the din that pervades the city.
